I found a book I loved as a child featuring paintings by 2 Chinese artists who traveled thru Pakistan in 1981 and Jesus Christ the art is just as beautiful as I remember. I haven't seen this book in 2 decades. I want to cry.

Every Junji Ito anime adaptation showcases how comics aren't some throwaway stepping stone to animation and cinema, and that we should stop treating them as such. Comics, like prose novels, are their own medium that can convey things animation and video cannot.

#KaiJune 2025 so far! Pretty proud of the stuff I've done so far. There are things I wish I had done differently, but there's still plenty to learn and more designs I wanna finish, even if it's not for KaiJune. I wanna expand my knowledge with creature designing! (and expand my bestiary lmao)

I love doing pages of characters like this, it really helps me to get a sense of a diverse world and hopefully nail down a particular look
