1. This is despicably evil.
2. This needs to be fought at every level. There is no world in which this cannot be considered cruel and unusual punishment.
3. Those behind this effort need to be exposed and never know a moments peace.

NYT says the damage to the hospital was likely from targeting "Network 2", a state-run news outlet.

What NYT DOESN'T say is that targeting civilians, even those who happen to work for state-run TV, is a war crime. I wonder why they didn't want to print that? One can only guess... πŸ™„

Absolutely incredible. Weeks of war without any vote in Congress. And the current regime may largely be left in place. This isn't just a war of choice. It's a vanity war. If this is allowed to stand, our country is in real trouble.

There’s a pretty robust case to make that the Iran Hostage crisis of 1979, the revolution itself, and the policies of the Iranian government towards the US
since, was all blowback from the CIA’s decision to overthrow Mossadegh in 1953. www.cnn.com/2013/08/19/p...

This country has had elections during every single war it has ever fought. Don’t believe anyone who says otherwise.

It Can Now Be Plainly Said: Trump Is Planning a November Coup d’État During the campaign, it was kind of hard to picture the specifics of how Trump might pull such a thing off. Alas, it’s getting less hypothetical by the week.

A print divided into three sections.

The largest vertical panel is in greyscale with a hedgehog-like creature with the words:
peace or we all perish

The second, thinner vertical panel to the left has an orange/rust tone with the words:
And to think...
It all started out
Like and other

The bottom rectangle background contains 3 brown horizontal stripe with an ocre field behind it.
It contains the words:

WORLD
Intended, one might almost believe,
to last for a good long time

AIPAC faces test of its power in Illinois primary as Democrats debate future of Israel relationship The aggressive spending comes after AIPAC put $2 million into a recent Democratic primary for a special election in New Jersey, an effort that's widely considered to have backfired.

Please, anyone, explain to me why Democratic voters should support Democrats taking money from AIPAC which, in part, pushed us into this war with Iran and is spending money AGAINST Democrats.

This image depicts a rural setting with several elements. There's an open, barren landscape in the background stretching to the horizon under a clear sky. In the mid-ground, various structures are visible; notably, there is a small wooden structure that appears dilapidated and abandoned, alongside what looks like makeshift sheds or storage units covered by tarpaulins. The ground is littered with debris, including wood logs, metal objects, and an old tire.

The most striking feature in the foreground is a wire fence extending horizontally across the scene. Attached to this fence are several turkeys of varying sizes, indicating they may be free-range poultry or possibly part of a small-scale farming operation. Some birds stand on the ground while others perch near the fence posts, one notably perched atop a wooden post.

The overall condition and setting suggest an impoverished rural environment, potentially indicative of economic hardship in this community during its time period. The photograph is monochromatic, reinforcing the historical context with its grainy texture characteristic of older film photography techniques used by pioneering photographers like Dorothea Lange.
