The simplicity of this message does not take away from its importance.
We are in an era of propaganda, gaslighting, and information overload.
It is vital we say things that are true, and say them over and over, so the truth is not buried in lies.
20 minutes - really worth it - & a reminder to "Never Shut Up" in the face of our looming autocracy -

The crypto bros being mad at Trump for the meme coins is incredible. Trump, a 50 year career grifter who everybody expected to do more grifting, has grifted so hard that he shocked a whole industry of grifters. Grifted into the stratosphere. Needs to be in the Smithsonian grifting exhibit

A well-written POV on how "elites" haven't failed us, we've failed ourselves, because LOL nothing matters has seeped into our national id.
Or, that's my reading of this, anyway -
With everything so seemingly terrible these days & no sign of anything remotely hopeful in the near future, I thought you might need this photo of a baby giraffe.

Rumor is that MAGA thinks it's a great idea to give $1 Million to every person living in Greenland so they'll vote to become a US state.
How about taking care of the people who live in an ACTUAL US STATE
In the face of what's coming at us (oh god, so infinitely bad) I admire this group for its bravery and look forward to its supportive info:

Here’s the whole ballgame—distract us from the corruption and theft that’s about to happen in Washington with carnival bullshit.
We need to be focused on stopping as many of these dangerous cabinet picks as possible—especially Tulsi, RFK, Hegseth, and Patel.

Of course, the problem is that the GOP no longer believes in embarrassment. Or shame. They just move on to the next lie.
And media lets them do it
H.W. Brands ROCKS.
A few yrs ago I asked him to sign his book & gushed like a blushing fangirl, apologizing as I did it...& he said "Thank you. Never hesitate to compliment an historian. It happens so rarely."
Still wild to me that so many "savvy" folks on left and right have bought into the idea that online misinformation is overblown and doesn't really matter. From lies about migrants to transgender people to crime to election denial to climate denial, it's literally driving our country's politics.
