There is no indication of direct involvement on the part of Donald Trump, however the US President has dished out a string of pardons for corruption related offences in recent months. He has also been remarkably cozy with Gianni Infantino, the President of FIFA, who this weekend bestowed the US President with a made-up peace prize.
