You can only thumb your nose at people for so long before they jump ship. Why do you never learn?
10.11.2025 00:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's clear this has just been grandstanding and you don't really care that people aren't going to be able to afford healthcare, as long as you all get to campaign on it at midterms. It's a spineless, cynical, disgusting political move, Chuck.

What are you doing? How do you possibly consider yourself journalists if you aren't covering 2% of the population marching, often in adverse weather, on the front page? Whose interests are you protecting?(2)
Over 5 million people flooded the streets of cities and towns across the country yesterday to protest the systematic dismantling of democracy and destruction of civil rights that has been unfolding at a breakneck pace since January. And none of the major newspapers are covering it. (1)
06.04.2025 15:45 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hey @nytimes.com, this is sort of embarrassing for you. Over 5 million people matched nationwide and over 100k in your own city. And your coverage is a single photo below the fold with coverage on PAGE 19? What are you even doing?
06.04.2025 14:47 β π 32 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A book cover for The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. A picture of a butler looking out a window, but it has been cut into horizontal slices, some of which are reversed and split by white bars where the title and author's names are written
Just finished Ishiguro's "The Remains of the Day." A slow burn that I wasn't sure I would like for the first third... But the book is quite masterfully crafted to bring the reader on a slowly revealing journey that culminates in a beautiful ending. Well worth the commitment! 4.5/5

Book cover of Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. A mostly white background with thin cursive lettering and a bird flying in the distance
A rather apt passage in Calvino's "Invisible Cities"
"It is the desperate moment when we discover that this empire, which had seemed to us the sum of all wonders, is an endless, formless ruin, that corruptionβs gangrene has spread too far to be healed by our scepter..."
