Prime Minister Laurier famously called Ottawa β€œnot a handsome city.”

When sawmills and factories lined the river, smoke blanketed the skyline, and railway lines cut through downtown and divided neighbourhoods, there wasn’t room for the green spaces and amenities we enjoy today.

We’re building a recreational platform on the Ottawa River near the Rideau Canal locks.

You’ll be able to relax on a multi-level wooden platform by the water and enjoy sunset views of the river.
