I understand the necessity of round the clock checks and not everybody has the same sensory/hypervigilance shit I’ve got going on. I also understand that I’m not getting better unless I get a full sleep cycle or two at some point. Uggghhhh.

A cool thing they do here is sometimes flash the full big overhead fluorescent light on in your room instead of using a flashlight so you get woken up in a startle response every hour or so during the night. This is very conducive to rest in people who are already struggling to fall and stay asleep.
