I understand the necessity of round the clock checks and not everybody has the same sensory/hypervigilance shit I’ve got going on. I also understand that I’m not getting better unless I get a full sleep cycle or two at some point. Uggghhhh.

A cool thing they do here is sometimes flash the full big overhead fluorescent light on in your room instead of using a flashlight so you get woken up in a startle response every hour or so during the night. This is very conducive to rest in people who are already struggling to fall and stay asleep.

(This is an unlikely outcome and it’ll be a few months on the waiting list to see that team so not an imminent threat but since when has that stopped me from memeing on something serious. I did not post my way into this mess but I will fucking post through it)
