๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ #Trump and #Erdogan meet for the first time at the #NATO summit. They discussed trade relations between their two countries, with the shared goal of reaching $100 billion in trade. #Tรผrkiye expressed its wish to conclude a free trade agreement

I would. Syria is on my bucket list, tbh.

To be fair, most Americans like ErdoฤŸan or would if they took the time to read about him.

Regardless of what someone thinks about ErdoฤŸan, I think most people acknowledge that he's a better, more capable statesman than Trump.

Can the Israelis or the US please just hit this guy with an airstrike already?

I'll miss him if he leaves power but I love and respect the will of the Turkish people more.

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท will ALWAYS be a special place no matter who is the President because the country is more than just the Presidency.

I love ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท and my experiences there more than my own country ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ...

I always felt ErdoฤŸan did a good job being not woke, socially liberal like ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ & the West. He played an important role that lead to Syria's liberation from Assad, ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ท, ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ. He supports ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ as well.

Well, still.... the houthis are a dangerous group for numerous reasons and there needs to be a global coalition to defeat then.

We can't ignore them but we (USA) shouldn't fight them alone

He should. Then America is on the hook to defend other NATO allies should they come under attack.

That should be the EU's priority. First and foremost!

We can now withdraw our troops from Syria in an honorable, responsible way.

Americans shouldn't be afraid to say our intervention was a success... unlike Afghanistan.

- Iran and Russia have been denied a Mediterranean base.

I'm not saying this. To cut to the chase, I'll say this:

I like the Svoboda party in ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ, the Law and Justice Party in ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ. I agree with nearly everything in those party platforms. I also like what ErdoฤŸan of ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท says about culture war stuff as well.

๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ท does not have toxic individualism either.

I'm socially conservative and fiscally left... AND a foreign policy hawk, interventionist.

I associate "woke" with the far left because it's a fringe concept and it's something that's gained traction the last 5 years or so.

The military or the CIA needs to *do something* to this guy before he destroys relationships with our allies and strengthens relationships with our adversaries.

It's the 11th hour right now and will soon be too late

I am too. I'm going to split time between Ukraine and Turkey... wherever I can get a job, I guess.

My country feels dead to me (too long of a story why I'm disappointed). I'm equally against the stupid far left and the malevolent far right though.

I would prefer ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ฆ,NATO allies somehow undermine, help the ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ opposition remove MAGA from power one way or another...I don't know how that can come to fruition but other people smarter than myself could probably come up with some ideas.

History is repeating itself as the U.S. risks abandoning Ukraine like it did Vietnam and Afghanistan, write Eerik Kross and Greg Mills in their op-ed.

If the U.S. betrayal of Ukraine undermines a Ukrainian spring- summer offensive it wouldn't be the first time. Where would we be now had Biden not dragged his feet in 2022 and 2023? Why did it take so long to fix the pause in support from the U.S. last spring? The U.S. never wanted Ukraine to win.

Ukraine's intelligence service has every right to "eliminate" anti-Ukraine influencers, leadership in the ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ.

These lies undermine what the ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ public thinks about the war and undermines the war effort. It's dangerous for our own national security too.

No quarter for the enemy at home or abroad!
