Yesterday I asked all my friends to share something they’ve lied about. Mine was that when I was 15 I baked weed food at my parents house and when my mom got home she asked “why does it smell like weed” and I just said “it doesn’t” and went to bed for two days.

Just remembered that one time when I was like 14 or 15 I stole a kielbasa sausage from Safeway.

It makes sense - that’s a good reality check for me. I think I just feel disconnected in general as an artist and insecure. I’m 32 and remember the golden age of tumblr when you could release tons of art and watch it travel all over or see people’s work so effortlessly. I really miss that!

Feels worse than ever to rely on any kind of socials as a working artist. I had such high hopes for this app, but tbh my reach is even worse here. It’s so discouraging.
