With a soft whisper, the blonde ghosted the shell of Jax's ear with the warmth of her breath, "Hurry up, Teller. I've got an itch that only you can scratch". Arching a brow just before pressing a firm kiss to the nape of his neck.

The warmth of his flesh, the scent of aftershave, leather and smoke. There wasn't a single characteristic that Layne didn't crave about this man. Though their moments together were few and far between; the star-crossed lovers made the most of what they had.

The sweetest of chills ran down her spine. Just the touch of Jackson's lips upon her neck was enough for her to see this through.

"You know where the bedroom is. Lead the way, outlaw."

"Careful there, Teller. That kind of talk while having your arm locked round my neck just might get you laid."

"Oh? What's that something else, Jackson?"

How could she not laugh? Here was the big bad biker, Jax Teller saying 'fuck the club'.

The days he made her feel as though she were a queen were the best. They had been few and far between lately with storms brewing.

"Then let's do it, Teller. Have you had your morning coffee yet?"

"There you are, Jackie Boy. Are you actually going to take a day away from the club to spend with little ol'e me?" She replied with a coy grin.

Jax could be so easy to fluster.

Good morning, my beautiful Saints and Sinners.

The air is crisp and the sun is shining. It's going to be a marvelous day. I'm thinking of a picnic in Charming park. But first~ coffee.

Would anyone like to join me?

"She killed your grandfather because he wanted to take the club legit all those years ago." Shaking her head. "Honestly, I've never understood, or got along with Gemma. I've never been one to do as she says."

"I can do that. He somewhat listens to me. He's just going through a hard time at the moment."

It was true. But Layne didn't want to get into the specifics just in case Jax didn't know.

"Have you /really/ tried talking to him, Jax?"

"She did. All because she thought he ratted on the club." The doctor wiped away a single tear from her eye.

"Ope was a good man. Fucked in the head, but good."

Layne exhaled an angry huff.

"Gemma seems to have that effect on most people, Abel. She's part of the reason my brother was so fucked up in the first place."

She looked over at Abel.

"Did you know she wanted him dead?"

"Nero, then?" Layne asked, he curiosity now peaked. "Surely he taught you the ways of the world. He did have Lucious, too, right?"

She rolled her eyes as accidental laughter spilled from her lips. "Heart problems aside- yours is full of love to give." Shaking her head. "I'm sure Wendy didn't raise you to be a complete asshole, did she?"

"If it makes you feel any better, I think you're handling everything like the president you were meant to be." Giving him a reassuring nod.

"Do you need my help with anything? You know I don't mind. I have some time off coming up, so I'm free to do whatever I can."

Light laughter rolled off Layne's tongue. "I suppose you are. You could've been dead in a ditch somewhere and I would've been the last to know."

Looking up through thick lashes.

"Seriously, though. How are you holding up, Jackson? Shit's been seriously sideways lately. I've been worried."

"Would you stop being so damn dramatic?" She looked over, urging him to listen to what she had to say.

"So you two have a few similarities. But that doesn't make either one of you damaged goods. You have ginormous hearts with so much love to give."

"Now that comes from your dad. Not Wendy."

"No, Abel. You're not looking at just the bad. You're making valid points that, if you want them to; should be addressed."

The doctor leaned over and nudged the youngest Teller on the shoulder.

"You just haven't found the right woman, kiddo. Some like the strong, silent type." Flashing him a wink.
