Whilst making a custom game engine, you run into simple issues you didn't even think about. In my case, I found out ImGui does not have a filter for just text and numbers, which I needed, so I added it myself

For more specifics, I'm using OpenTK in order to be able to do this entire thing in C#, since I've worked in Unity for like half a decade

That sounds like an actually valid implementation - this is extremely barebones and running on a single thread, surprisingly at 200+fps. Although I just watched a Sebastian Lague video in which he handled the generation via Compute Shaders, which I might also try, except I don't know any HLSL lmao
