Finished both Coffee Talks. Looking forward to the third game in a few months. Beautifully crafted narrative. A gorgeous example of the cozy visual novel genre.

What is a rule your table has for dice? A common one seems to be “it doesn’t count if it rolls onto the floor” but others like “play it as it lays.”

Random thought:

It is the responsibility of the player to think of why their character wants/needs to participate in the hijinks of a game.

It is the responsibility of the GM to help define the tone of the hijinks in advance so the player can do so - possibly with aid from the whole table.

It is always amazing how some random comment on the internet can send a mood crashing. Even when I know it shouldn’t.

This reminds me of just after 9-11. Everyone outside NYC was calling Guliani “America’s mayor.”

Everyone in NYC used more … colorful language to describe him.
