At least, not in the way it has been for decades. Arguably things are worse because of it. But like with the quoted example, the fake shit they’re doing for television isn’t fooling anyone not already way too deep in the shit. It’s like a child doing something he thinks grown ups do.

It’s event television spectacle, but tv is dead. A few of the underlings understand this, but their online posting efforts only serve to alienate anyone not already with the program.
