online MAGA men are falling for the AI creation "Jessica Foster," who is a combination US Army adviser to Trump and foot fetish model. The character already has nearly a million Instagram followers.

If there was video of a Senate Dem giving a compound fracture to a Marine while wearing his dress blues, that guy would've been burned at the stake by close of business

I just got over breast cancer, am currently taking care of my sister, who didnโ€™t once call me or look in on me during my treatment, I have not worked in over a year, have blown through my meager savings and do not know how March rent will be paid. I suppose I have my moral luxuries though. Peace.

I truly donโ€™t understand how you could come from a marginalized group and expect everyone to live by the rules you set for yourself in a white supremacist capitalist society. Must be nice. Iโ€™m truly done.

Coates is not an opinion writer, heโ€™s a journalist. Also, itโ€™s gross to bring up the one other Black male writer (who solely writes books) to pit against the other Black guy.

They also purged a slew of Black employees.

03.03.2026 04:26 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yes. You are lucky that youโ€™ve never had to compromise your values while living in the States as a Black American descended from the enslaved.

03.03.2026 04:24 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 5    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Consider yourself lucky if youโ€™ve never had to work for a provlematic employer. But if you think FOR ONE SINGLE FUCKING SECOND that Black people are able to pick and choose to work at a place that is not steeped in white supremacy then I think you are not a serious person.

03.03.2026 04:18 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 1

What part of I unsubscribed years ago because I didnโ€™t agree with their coverage of trans issues (or Palestine) did you fail to grasp? Also, I am Black, do you think Iโ€™m unaware that itโ€™s a racist institution? Do you think Bouie is unaware?

03.03.2026 04:17 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 3    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

If you pay taxes in America, then we all are facilitator genocide by that metric. Bouie is not personally responsible and targeting him for his employer 4 weeks after the Post just laid off a slew of people is justโ€ฆunrealistic to me.

03.03.2026 04:09 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Molly, are you really trying to explain how anti-blackness works to me? Also? Journalists donโ€™t write the headlines. Blame the people on the masthead for that shit.

03.03.2026 03:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Seeโ€ฆand thatโ€™s when you completely lose me. There are like 20 out of 200 Black journos at the Times. Media is dying, there are like 5 jobs left. People need to eat. Bouie is not a Sulzberger. That expectation actually seems not based in anyoneโ€™s reality but your own. Goodnight!

03.03.2026 03:39 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Brett Stephens, a white Jewish guy in media? You think thatโ€™s the same. I do not. I think this all seems a little extra to me, relatively ineffective. But thatโ€™s just me. Iโ€™m logging off.

03.03.2026 03:36 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I donโ€™t knowโ€ฆseems like itโ€™d be more effective to write an Op-Ed instead of seemingly going after Bouie. But what do I know. Do people change minds doing this on Blue Sky?

03.03.2026 03:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Because heโ€™s Black and it feels like anti-blackness.

03.03.2026 03:31 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

No, I have not. I am a Black woman who is fully aware of how power works in this country. Bouie has no real power, he has an opinion and he feeds his family with the checks he gets from the Times. I support your right to disagree with his opinion, but you lose me with the pontificating on Blue Sky.

03.03.2026 03:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 3    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Soโ€ฆwho else are you going after at the Times?

03.03.2026 03:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Soโ€ฆyouโ€™re targeting one Black guy at the largest media company in the country because you donโ€™t like his opinion? Iโ€™m sorry, but I personally canโ€™t get behind that. Itโ€™s like picking the lowest hanging fruit. Have some dignity, aim higher maybe?

p.s. power has long BEEN corrupted.

03.03.2026 03:22 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 7    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I unsubscribed from the NYT years ago, in part for their coverage of trans issues. However, I donโ€™t think Jamelle is the NYT and I think the targeting of him feels more than a smidge anti-black.

03.03.2026 03:14 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 5    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 4    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I was 15 and sneaking out of the house and into the city to go to Gay AA dances to support the 27 y.o. aspiring DJ that we hung out with. That being said I never appreciate when someone tokenized me as their โ€œBlack friendโ€ - so Iโ€™m not gonna do that. I do live in NYC and have a diverse friend group.

03.03.2026 03:07 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 2    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So wild that you all love to target Bouie when there are like a bajillion other journos at the NYT who are outwardly transphobic. Nothing else to deduce except racism. I havenโ€™t seen a single Black trans woman side with you and thatโ€™s how we know you are completely full of shit.

Excellent advice. Someone who should know better sent me something phony this morning.

Iโ€™ve never forgotten how insanely beautiful that Tuesday morning was. At the time I was working on a WWII film for The History Channel, and for weeks, I would dream of b&w bombs raining down on Manhattan. I usually donโ€™t dream.

there are a lot of people working in the government right now who want to intentionally trigger an apocalypse to create the conditions for the return of jesus christ and I know how crazy that sounds but its absolutely true

Film and tv have already taken a hit. Iโ€™m worried about the many jobs that will be lost with the merger and with David Ellisonโ€™s goal to pivot towards AI for production:

After considerable soul-searching, I feel compelled to withdraw from the BAFTA emerging talent judging panel. The organisation's handling of the unfortunate Tourette's N-Word incident last night at the awards was utterly unforgivable. I cannot and will not contribute my time energy and expertise to an organisation that has repeatedly failed to safeguard the dignity of its Black guests, members and the Black creative community. This is particularly unfortunate given that this year's cohort boasts some incredible Black talent, especially one of my favourite shows of 2025 "Just Act Normal". However, when an organisation like BAFTA, with its own long history of systemic racism, refuses to acknowledge the harm inflicted on both the Black and disabled communities and offer an appropriate apology, remaining involved would be tantamount to condoning its behaviour. I hope BAFTA leadership comprehend the damage they and the BBC have caused and take the necessary steps to ensure their production staff are inclusive enough to prevent such an issue in the future.
Yours sincerely, Jonte Richardson

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ Channel 4โ€™s Lindsey Hilsum asked Trumpโ€™s Senior Advisor for Africa, Massad Boulos, whether it was time to โ€œget nastyโ€ and use real leverage on the UAE, which continues to arm and fuel Sudanโ€™s war.

She demanded to know what consequences Washington is imposing on Sudanโ€™s leadership, on the RSF and its backers, and what itโ€™s doing to stop Abu Dhabi from buying gold smuggled out of Sudan.

Boulos responded that the U.S. has been โ€œquite patientโ€ but that โ€œitโ€™s about time to act,โ€ promising โ€œserious talk and actionโ€ at the UN, while speaking broadly about โ€œexternal supportโ€ and never naming the UAE or detailing any concrete steps to pressure it.
