Yeah. It was a very large chunk of the runtime.

The mage exam section of Frieren took away from the show imo and wasn’t really necessary. It introduced too many characters that weren’t important to the plot and spent too much time on formulaic shonen style story telling.

I still love Frieren dearly but I can’t consider it to be one of the best.

Got it at a local shop (fire and flower if you’re in Canada). The brand is Pulsar. It’s called ‘pulsar wizard 510’. Outside of its aesthetic is a pretty great batt. Large battery capacity and you can manually dial in the temp to whatever you went.

I imagine it’s likely a form of compress then upscale. Shorts consume unreal amounts of bandwidth and storage and it’s likely that they are doing their best to keep file sizes minimal.
