To head it off, it takes a lot for me to feel safe, and even more so to remove bad associations when something has made me feel uncomfortable in a space.

So I recognize the intention, but please no “you are so loved” etc - I’m not asking for that, and forced closeness feels very unsafe to me.

I know I’m idealistic to a fault 😬 and want to assume well, even when it’s hurting me to. And it’s scary to be vulnerable and get something that breaks that idealistic image.

I also don’t know how to ask for things, I’m so used to taking care of myself on my own 😅

So really it’s my own fault.

I want to stop being tired and feeling like it’s dangerous to lean 🙃

Luna Abyss is an incredibly red game.

It's also a FPS that held me for longer than usual, with robust accessibility options. The controls feel smooth, the bullet hell patterns of enemy fire are fun compared to firing from cover, and it has two stages to try!!

okay addendum to this I HAVE FOUND THE NEW MECHANICS

I'm still not fully sold on it (perhaps the most new mechanics I want in my nonograms is color Picross), but I get what it's trying to do and I think it's worth a try!

I'm not fully sold on Homgard yet. It promises new mechanics on good ol' Picross; in what I've played so far, I haven't hit any of that. It's been basic Picross too.

But it IS good ol' Picross, with really chill beats and a ton of world-building lore to read.

I had thought I might be good to try counted cross-stitch again but apparently not given I missed a stitch in the green section 😅

The tiny stitches are infinitely easier to do than the 11-count of the stamped piece though, it’s been nice to stitch small again

I got so caught up in REPLACED's stunning art I took one screenshot at the start and then just enjoyed my time with it.

It's a linear platformer with puzzles, stealth, combat; but its strongest selling point is how well it understands the power of visuals.

Okay yeah this is an incredibly cozy game in the cooking minigames to imitate service industry vein

The demo is centered around good ol' Indonesian bakso (meatballs, served in soup and noodles and more), but the entire thing just felt very homey to me
