One more thought on "bad" art, at the risk of sounding pretentious:
The point of art is to create and express something. Technical skills (anatomy, perspective, etc) are good, but only insofar as they serve that goal. What gives art its value is the impression it makes, not the artist's skill.

White dog with pink and black nose all comfy on her side in a bed with blue, white, and red patterned sheets. Her paws are curled up near her face.
The same white dog as the last image, laying her head across my side. I'm adorned with a big red blanket and a black t-shirt. She's looking off in the distance.
Image of a white dog with a black nose and black eye patch. It's taken at a silly angle where his nose is huge, and his body is tiny
Another image of the white and black dog. His entire body is visible, and he's laid out in a silly way on a carpeted floor, looking tentatively at the camera. His front left paw is curled back awkwardly, hind legs laid back and his tail at a jaunty angle.
Guys this is very important, look at my dogs
Hercules (spots) and Persephone (no spots)

Thinking of what to draw while I wait for my stylus to arrive. I've never drawn on a laptop
