It proves at Alito is in the tank. He is deciding issues and cases based on his personal bias and the outcome he favors. He doesn’t have an impartial bone in his body and violates his oath of office again and again. History will not be kind but we will all suffer while he’s on the bench

The justification is more painful than just serving the oligarchs and their paid off pols in return for vacations, RV's, paying off loans etc... Alito, Thomas, Roberts, Barrett, Kavanaugh think they are justified by allegedly doing G-d's will. At least the liberals think it's the people's work.

The so-called conservatives on the Supreme Court are anti-democratic and anti-constitutional radicals who concoct convoluted pseudo-legal rationales for issuing rulings that further their own, and their political/financial backers', personal agendas.

When are courts going to respond to SCOTUS with "I know you think you overturned our decision, but you have the facts so wrong that we can not even apply your ruling if we wanted to and our decision stands"

Your analysis seems correct, as far as it goes. But it seems to me that even if Ct. of A had denied the stay after the App. Div., that still should not have turned the trial ct.'s order into a final judgment for Fed. J. purposes. How could it be final with an appeal still pending?
