the urge to fill the blanks that don’t really need to be filled fast~ 🥹🥲🥲

currently listening to this audiobook, and start to think how at the very least i should change my search engine (what do you mean Google paying that much money only so their search engine become Safari’s default arghhh). And yeah, anything really so not to be too dependent on these big techs.

i’ve been good in reaching out to others, then it hits me, do others take that for granted then, meaning they’ll less likely to reach out first to me? i’m not sure, i think this year i really really should extend myself to others who also put their effort to extend themselves to me. maybe.

the question: What advice do you have for young people to make well-informed political decisions? the answer: Exposure is the first step. It comes from meeting and talking with other people, stay curious enough to understand where they come from. l've met all kind of people, from the left, center, right, the thing I find less appealing is certainty; most people have no sense of there being a grey area, or being unsure on how something should play out. Ofc it doesn't mean you shouldn't be strong on your convictions, but I think you need to leave space to be wrong, to be curious. Because with a total amount of certainty and lack of uncertainty comes a lack of curiosity, in which case we just become people who are lost in these silos. That's why I need to maintain and instill sense of curiosity to my kids, sense of confidence to walk into the world, finding virtue in uncertainty as opposed to certainty, and then they need to walk their own path.
