Now that SCOTUS has agreed to hear arguments on birthright citizenship should all Americans be encouraged to file an amicus brief. Flood the zone with comments in support of leaving the status quo and saying no to Trump?

After all it would be jobs lost as well as campaign funding.

With the new administration’s announced foreign policy to back away from alliances like NATO, the defense budget could be cut by 20%, right? No foreign outposts would exist presumably. So watch carefully to see how the defense industry responds. I expect many legislators to push back on Trump

The only organization or country that is unleashing criminals on our streets in the USA is the Trump administration. Over 2,000 this year.

How can we file an amicus and flood the zone?

Trump demands total loyalty, but loyalty from him??? Transient and never assured. Ask Hegseth.

Flying today. Passengers dressed the way they always dress. Crop top, baggy jeans, shorts, sweatsuit, sweatshirt, etc. One blazer. Duffy’s request not heeded.

And journo, kindly raise the question about prosecuting the White House criminals after this presidency ends. (More than three years to go).

Will someone at the DOJ leak the Epstein files before they are redacted? And if the recipient is a journalist, I beg you not to hold it until your book tour.

The pathetic thing is that Trump has no idea who Neville Chamberlain is. What did Descartes say? Right, Trump has no idea who he is either. Goodbye Ukraine.

It's important to understand what this ad does and why it is so threatening to the Trump admin. It gets to social identity theory, which posits that we have many identities, and the one which is salient in a given context will dictate how we think/behave in a particular situation. 1/

All of the pilfering, vandalism, and outright death caused by DOGE cuts, and all of the thefts from the future by illegally stopping research grants, didn't save a penny, Trump spent the money and more on corruption and incompetent ICE goons.

Hey, Apple, Meta, Amazon, etc. Now that you have seen the ballroom plan and how crappy it looks, please renege on your offer to fund. The annex is a proportional disaster and the gold interior is crass.

Yes. As I have commented before, the rest of the judiciary needs to treat shadow docket opinions as advisory and not setting precedent.

We need to address shadow docket decisions as advisory, given the lack of clarity they provide. They should be viewed as narrowly as possible and not precedent setting.

I would like to see protestors shouting phrases such as β€œWE are what is great about America!!!” Or
β€œWe ARE America!!” Or anything along those lines. The right keeps chanting β€œUSA USA”. We need something like that.

I am writing this everywhere I can. Shadow docket decisions should not be viewed as establishing precedent. If they can’t be bothered to write a fulsome opinion, then we can’t be bothered to adhere to their vote.

@profmmurray.bsky.social and her Strict Scrutiny colleagues have regularly noted the problems arising from the well named β€œshadow docket.” While the merits docket sets precedent (Thomas’ comments notwithstanding), how can the shadow docket be anything more than advisory? Please embrace this idea.

Looking for the details, behind the Gaza war. Has Netanyahu received assurances he will not face war crimes trial? Then, who pays for the reconstruction of Gaza? I have seen nothing on either question.

Let’s call Speaker Johnson what he is: a coward. A true Christian would be honest, respectful, kind. Johnson is none of those things but remains afraid to admit he is not really Christian.

Stephen Miller is a coward. A fascist in every way, he does not have he the courage to acknowledge that he is one

Having sat on a federal grand jury, the indictment makes sense. I mean, β€œhe might have lied” so let the actual trial happen and the jury decide beyond a reasonable doubt. This is a ham sandwich against Comey.
