I spend the entire day hand sewing this tie. I’m so proud of myself I’ve never sewn anything before! It still needs to be decorated but this is the base :D

There’s a lot of emotion tied up in this #quilt which I started for my daughter when she was born and struggled to finish as my marriage and life spiralled. This weekend I decided that done was better than perfect and that I have to move through the pain and celebrate my skill no matter how messy.

I based my version of Howl on a description in the book, when he first meets Sophie: 'His sleeves trailed longer than any in the Square, all scalloped edges and silver insets.' Probably not the best choice for a first quilting project!

Four clay bowls

Pottery was fun but, ugh, I was not great at it. In two hours, I managed to throw away about 7lbs of clay and finish one pot. 😅 My pot is in the lower right.

まめちゃんが小学校に給食体験にいくそうで、予想より早めに上履き入れや給食袋を用意しなくてはならなくなった(去年もそうだったはずだが完全に忘れている母親)！
というわけで本日は上履き入れを縫いました。柄合わせバッチリとまではいかないけれども、マチが綺麗にできて満足🪡
布、カバンテープ、Dカンの組み合わせ全てまめこが選んだんだけど、去年のわたこ(マイメロとクロミちゃんのキラキラしたやつだった)と違ってかなりシック。性格出るねぇ。

I made this replica of a crysknife from Dune a while ago. I wonder what you think about it? The model isn't mine and I unfortunately wasn't able to find the source :( My work was mainly hand finishing it with epoxy and dyes as well as painting the handle.

Attempting to learn Tunisian crochet. It’s like starting again, like the last years of normal crochet counts for nothing. Hold and tension totally different and my hands already hurt. And I love it, it’s brilliant. Wish I’d started with this 🧶 #tunisiancrochet
