A reasonably productive rainy afternoon today. Going to have to tear myself away to get dinner going, hoping posting will keep me from losing motivation to return. Future baby quilt, cut from old shirts of my grandfather’s, for the first baby since he passed.

Saturday staycation splurges:
Pastries at Ondo in Ann Arbor then to Kerrytown Market for West Michigan blueberry balsamic at Fustini’s and yarn shopping at Spun (🧶 already cast on). Then happy hour at Maiz in Depot town,Ypsilanti- a family favorite from my daughter’s time at EMU.

I've been putting chainmaille aside for other projects, but I had to share this recent piece I made. It took 6,564 rings, woven together ring by ring. Very proud with how it turned out. :)

The problem with sewing is that if I want to do it, I have to get my sewing machine out of the crawlspace, get everything set up, then finish and get it all put away before dinner because we only have the one table.

Anyway, this turned out quite nice.

Make stuff Monday craft check-in. Got some more length done on the blanket before the current heat wave. Swapped to an asymmetrical scarf to stay cool. The stitches are sooooo much smaller - I remember now why I couldn't do it long term without going blind. 😜🥸🧶☀️

Just finished my latest hat! I absolutely LOVE the rainbow colored yarn since the stripes are super vibrant and fun!

I wrapped up my bust and it is currently drying before it is fired. I liked how it turned out. Now we will see if survives the kiln.

This is a table i made out of salvaged 2x4s and a bigass piece of C-Chanel made it a few months ago, I'm grateful to have access to a welder as I can't have one in my basement where my woodshop is.

For the most part, I have always been a pretty monogamous knitter. When I was younger, it was because I could really afford one project at a time. (I mainly knitted sweaters back then.) Now, it's because knitting is one of the few things that I can do to clear my mind and not ruminate on things.
