09.03.2026 19:45 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0One time I added "the party went to Dungeon Town and helped defend the wall against an assault" to the campaign diary some weeks later, and the GM was like "thanks, I straight-up forgot about that." It was a plot point that spanned two sessions!

In this developer diary I revisit the Episodic Memory system and figure out how to observe its results so I can actually debug the thing ...

Another interesting point is that sometimes the data centers are using municipal water, i.e. water that has been filtered and treated and all that. If it evaporates, rains back down, and returns in a river or other body of water, it's not potable anymore.

Probably the same thing that makes me speed up when someone passes me on the road. (It's not spite. Someone passing is a signal that I'm going too slow.)
26.02.2026 02:42 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0It takes time. You'll probably have to be consistent over a period of months to see results from it.
24.02.2026 18:04 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Yeah, I like the *idea* of it. It just seemed to demand more precision or faster reflexes than I had in me.
24.02.2026 05:36 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Yeah, if you like a straightforward power fantasy, that's probably not what DE is for. It's a game about talking to quirky people (and being one).
24.02.2026 00:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I made it through DE without save-scumming, so it may not be as scary as it looked.
24.02.2026 00:40 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Mirror's Edge. It was supposed to be a thrilling free-flowing parkour adventure; it turned into a desperate slog as I tried each sequence over and over and over until I somehow got it. Very much a Skill Issue for me, but with so many other games in my To Play I couldn't invest the time to master it.

20.02.2026 18:58 — 👍 104 🔁 29 💬 1 📌 0I'm thinking of something *like* that - the problem is, the parser's still untried enough that there *will* be errors even in a valid file. I think it needs to be based on a large enough accumulation. Like, if nothing seems to be a valid sentence at all, it's probably not the right thing to read.

The gist is that I want Acuitas to look for his own new reading material. Read about it here: writerofminds.blogspot.com/2026/02/acui... #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #chatbot #symbolicAI #NLP

I haven't had the spare energy to chatter on social media much lately, but I've still got lots of projects moving ahead. Here's the mount and circuit prototype for the high-precision scale.

IMO it's worth having a word for "useless gestures that give you credit for helping others when you're not actually helping." But visual expression of sincerely-held opinions is not that.
