Chapter 35 of my supposed to be 30 chapter book that refuses to end. Might just kill everyone and be done with it #amwriting

My book just won't end. Every time I think I'm nearly there I realise I'm another three or four chapters off. Why won't it just end? Honestly, it has no respect for deadlines #amwriting

Writing at the breakfast bar this afternoon, and someone left a carton of Heroes on the side.
Currently averaging one word typed for every chocolate eaten. My book isn't getting much bigger.... but I am 🙈

It will be coming off sale soon ahead of being re-published in August, but it makes me very happy to see new readers still discovering Valentia. Was meant to be a standalone, then a trilogy. Now going to be the first of 6 books (at least)

My eldest (12 yrs old) has been asking for a while if he can read one of my books. I've decided to let him have a go at Raven. After all, it's only a book filled with graphic battle scenes, a ton of swearing and a rather dislikeable anti-hero.

What could possibly go wrong? 😅

Went upstairs for 10 minutes, came back down to my living room being converted into a fort. I imagine it will be my tidying that away later.... #Dadlife
