Small publishers (read: not self-publishing people) don’t price their ebooks this way in my experience.

I would love to see the Big Five publishers get called to testify by legislators for their anti-consumerist pricing strategy, but this problem also comes from libraries (and readers) wanting to read Big Five slop.
