I like that concept. I’m late to the game and have too few connections so it’s like building a whole other social media account (one that isn’t enjoyable).

I went looking for professional networking, but I’m seeing now that the fluff is too thick. Most post only what they think other employers would want to hear. I need to work on my network and engage with people who come across as something more than an employed bot.

That was such a vibe, 2010! I recall posting back then that I’d never seen so many people inside the stores. I could say that again now but for a much more depressing reason.

For 24 yrs now, I’ve worked within the walls of over 50 HBC stores, spanning 7 provinces.

Along the way the focus vanished, e-commerce failed. The stores are beyond repair and the vendor trust is gone.

All that aside, I’ve spent more time in stores than I have anywhere else and this feels weird 💔

I am horribly stressed about other things, but not the fluffballs I’ve known since they were wee fluffballs 🥰

Hmm maybe that’s a bit of my issue. Always standing in that aisle for an extra minute deciding if it’s worth it (it always is).

getting multiple children asleep before 9pm is a massive accomplishment. Once properly executed, it allows for 2-3 solid hours of not putting anymore kids to bed. That is an incredibly big deal and not to be taken lightly.
