At one point NMR was the domain of experts, very complicated to use. How much would have been lost โ or rather, never knownโ if it had stayed that way? There is always a role for experts when odd things happen, or for novel, complicated applications.

Hi Chris. I think that our computational tools not only should be but must be opened up to users of all stripes. Otherwise over time the tools will become less important and less relevant. I suggest NMR as an analogy.
