On May 10, 2025, today I am reading a book given to me by an acquaintance some time ago.
It is an account of climbing Klyuchevskaya in Kamchatka. This wonderful book makes me appreciate the greatness of exploration.

Yes, I live in Japan. This type of cherry tree is a species that grows naturally in the Japanese mountains around here. It may be over 100 years old.

Cherry blossoms (Someiyoshino) are beginning to bloom.
The best time to see them is a week away.
