Canadian wearily posting into the void. Resisting the word "skeet". My posts do not represent my employer. Mum, cat owner, ND. She / her. I do not "follow back" automatically and if I don't know you in some way, you will be blocked.
Tells me everything I need to know. GROSS.
01.03.2026 15:38 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Fool me once? I've been watching the NDP make the same mistakes over and over again for my entire adult life, so I want to be wrong, but until I see some actual tangible action it's hard for me to trust it.
01.03.2026 15:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0WOW ugh
01.03.2026 15:18 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Oh pls DM me with the company name so I don't give them any of my money
01.03.2026 14:43 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I like and respect Claudia very much but I am skeptical. I hope I'm wrong.
01.03.2026 14:41 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Agree. Choose key rural ridings, start now, focus energy.
01.03.2026 14:38 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Absolutely 100% agree. I don't want a candidate who doesn't live in my riding. Full stop.
01.03.2026 14:15 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Sure have.

Fun fact: they weren't dating yet when this episode was filmed. Or not publicly, anyway.
I can only assume this was what won her over. I mean!
I won over a PC voter on Facebook this week to the point that they asked if they could use my words to explain the budget situation to their friends. It works! But we have to step out of the comfortable bubble!

And honestly in a lot of ridings they are
If I still lived in one of those rural ridings where a kid was parachuted in to be a candidate in name only I wouldn't take the NDP seriously either
Otherwise the writ drops and you're trying to cram three years worth of relationship and profile building into 30 days when your incumbent opponent is working their connections and putting up a million signs. It's HARD.
01.03.2026 14:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Exactly! You need to start planning for the next campaign the day after the election. Canvassing, attending local events, being responsive, engaged and present. You can unseat incumbents doing that.

The NDP aren't going to magically break through outside of HRM just because it would be nice. Or because at this moment many of your friends & like-minded folks are pissed off with Houston.
A whole lot of other people still think he's doing all the right things. THOSE are the ones you have to reach
She was such a beauty. Always loved your posts about Shannon Husky.

OK. My NDP MLA has a Facebook page where there are 5 posts since Christmas and nothing about the budget.
Older voters are on Facebook.
You see? Dopamine, straight to the brain. This is why it's still circulating eight years later. :)
01.03.2026 13:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I *know* it is exhausting and frustrating for candidates to, for example, be active on social media, but the reality is that's where many many voters get their information.
01.03.2026 13:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Of course. But you can't raise more money with no profile. And a lot of community profile development can be low or no cost, between elections.
01.03.2026 13:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Give people who might not be able to commit to running a path to help in their riding. Have clear plans for how to start repairing the damage done by the PCs, not just "Houston is bad".
01.03.2026 13:42 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I don't even think it's a question of figuring out the strategy; it's having people who will actually do the work, on the ground, in the communities. Start by looking at local activists. Reach out to them. Offer real, tangible support.
01.03.2026 13:40 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0First smile I've had while looking at BSky for at least a couple weeks, I swear

Sorry, it just has gone ultra viral over the years and I was just gobsmacked it missed anyone, lolol
He's Spider-Man, if that helps at all - but honestly it doesn't matter who he is, the performance is that good
If you can't smile while watching this, I worry, you know?
01.03.2026 13:25 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I want to vote NDP, and have done with few exceptions for 30 years. But they've just about worn out their welcome with me. They never learn.
01.03.2026 13:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The provincial caucus needs to do... well, anything. I have an NDP MLA. I voted for her. Had to look up her name this week because I couldn't quite remember it; she completely disappeared after the election. And the one issue I emailed her about early on, she punted it to the PC MLA next riding over

It has come to my attention that some of you have never seen Tom Holland's "Umbrella" on Lip Sync Battle.
The world's a dumpster fire so here, feel 2.5 minutes of joy:
