It's pretty obvious that a lot of US mainstream media either doesn't recognise authoritarianism or doesn't want to call it out. Either way, it's an excellent way to destroy trust in your institution.

I’ve long said that if rule of law ceases to exist such that the president can get away with deliberately ignoring court orders, the country is no longer a democracy by definition. That’s currently being tested in the US—and it’s up to the judiciary to not back down.

The capitulation of the law firms, like the prior collapse of Republican elected officials, is a lesson in the rot that's hollowed out so many of the pillars of our establishment beneath a nice and presentable surface.

Yesterday, every single Republican & 30 Democrats supported Trump's $8.8 billion bomb shipment to help Netanyahu continue his annihilation of the Palestinian people.
