Just a heartfelt thank you - you might have started a movement that shows that we don't have to just take it all lying down. We might lose the battle for this nation, but at least someone has started to stand up.

I had to get up early Monday morning-so I hated to miss - so I will have the chance to see it yet... I toured one of the Blue Origin engine factories (that is also making the moon lander) in Huntsville - Hope they are successful. Thank you for what you are doing and stand for as well.

On January 7, 1610, Galileo pointed his telescope at Jupiter. Like many science endeavors, he didn't see just Jupiter. He saw “stars” next to Jupiter. Over the next two weeks these “stars” moved around Jupiter. This discovery provided support for the heliocentric (Sun centered) solar system.

First full moon of 2025 on Monday, 13th. The Old Farmer’s Almanac called this full the Full Wolf Moon because wolves were to be heard howling at this time. I was asked why we have names for the full moon. This was their calendar! Most had never seen a paper calendar with names of the months.

Despicable is a perfect word - when you want to punish children over some political motive, just terrible. Maybe the parents should feed their children, but that is not reality. I wish the poor who love the GOP over who they hate, would see how much they are hurt by the actions of the GOP

Happy Christmas eve/Christmas day for those who celebrate- Hoping that the Parker Solar probe survives it closest pass to the sun. And I always remember Apollo 8 orbiting the moon on this date in 1968. That moment changed my life and work trajectory. Always look up at the night sky!

The best part is that the nights get shorter and more daylight every day

Full Moon on Sunday, December 15. Native Americans called this the “Cold Full Moon” or the “Long Night Full Moon.” That second name originates from the fact that the full moon in December occurs near the winter solstice, which has the longest night of the year. Next month = the Full Wolf Moon.

A wonderful planetarium visit to Snow Hill Elementary School in TN this week!!! Wonderful teachers and excited students made for a great day!!!!

I want to thank the teachers and staff at Highland Rim School in Lincoln Co TN for allowing me to spend the day with your 5th grade students in my planetarium! What an excited group of students! A special thank you to Mrs. Diotalevi for making sure my day was a good one!
