i just wish i was better at socializing. i miss having a sense of belonging. i want to support & hang out with ppl without feeling like i'm bothering them.

the feeling that, for some fucking reason, everyone dislikes me and it's actually better to not talk to anyone doesn't help either lol

every day i wake up with the urge to reach out to people only to lose all energy and courage to actually do it before i could even say anything

I genuinely think the worst thing the internet did to reading was convince people that finishing books is a competitive sport. You don't need to read 52 books a year. You just need to read. Books you like. At your own pace. And think about them for longer than a TikTok video.

I think too many people are too comfortable with demanding that others monitor and cater to their own discomfort. Your unhealed trauma and personal discomfort, especially regarding others' bodies, is for you to sit with and unpack, not for others to censor themselves and their own personhoods for.
