Thanks πŸ™
Most of mine are shorter too... but also, some are longer. It depends on the goal (and on the time available). 5 minutes a day is infinitely better than none...

Funky Pincha Mayurasana and Sayanasana don't often show up in yoga vinyasa classes.

This flow was a test of strength, focus and discipline. Tapas. The fire was definitely burning - inside and out - and maybe more in the elbows than I might choose.

Where is your tapas showing up today?

Day 3 of a week of Pincha.

Pincha Mayurasana with Eagle Legs.

Both sides, so I don't start walking in circles after the practice...

Lila - divine play - reminds us that yoga isn’t just discipline. It is also joy, curiosity, playfulness and exploration.

When we approach life with this spirit, obstacles become opportunities and effort becomes expression.

How can you invite more playfulness into your practice today?

What would happen if you slowed down?

In our fast paced world, yoga reminds us that mastery doesn't come from speed - it comes from mindfulness and presence.

By going slow, what will you unlock on the mat. And, what about off the mat?

Pincha Mayurasana. Well, perhaps not *forever*. 2 minutes maybe on a good day.

This transition is a practice in sthira (stability) and sukha (ease). The strength to lift comes from grounding, the control to lower comes from trust.

Balance doesn't come from forced movement. It comes from finding steadiness in the transition, staying present, staying patient.

Pike entry to Bound Headstand is a dance of balance over strength. Control comes from Tapas, dedicated practice and discipline, but lightness comes from Santosha, contentment and trust in the process.

Yoga isn't about mastering a pose. It's mastering the mind that approaches it.

Strength and surrender - complementary attributes on and off the mat.

In Pincha Mayurasana, the foundation is firm, yet the body must remain light. This reflects the principles of abhyasa (consistent effort) and vairagya (letting go).

sthira sukham asanam - the principle that reminds us every pose should be both steady and comfortable. Strength without softness leads to tension, and ease without effort leads to collapse. The magic is in the balance.

How do you bring sthira (steadiness) and sukha (ease) into your practice?

This was today's Sunday morning practice, with some Flying Lizard (Uddayana Uttana Pristhasana) fun.

My message here is to make your practice your own. You know what you need in the moment, you know you, so give yourself permission to listen to yourself and act on what you hear.

Inversions aren’t only about going upside down - they also build confidence, trust, connection.

When teaching inversions, it’s not only alignment cues that matter but also supporting students in exploring fearlessly. With great guidance and support, breakthroughs happen on, and off, the mat.

Balance begins with the mind.

In this headstand variation, physical stillness mirrors a calm and still mind. Each breath a reminder to be present. Here, now, steady.

Mindfulness isn't just seated meditation. It's also how we meet each moment, whether upside-down or right side up.

From the ground up - a tuck press to handstand, lowering into Koundinyasana II. It’s all about consistent effort and joyful exploration.

Commitment to practice doesn't mean perfection; it means showing up, falling, learning and then rising stronger.

Arm balances are about trust, focus, and persistence. Each wobble teaches balance, each fall builds resilience and each hold is a celebration of progress.

Commit to the practice.

You aren't arching your back very much - so I wouldn't worry about reducing that until after you have the balance locked in.
My tip is that your gaze backwards is really tough to start balancing with. Keep your gaze where it is on the floor during your kickup until after you are balanced.

YES! I have the honour of being in her coaching team now - but that all came from being one of Nathania's students.

Twisting poses are essential for spinal health, and remind us that our spines aren’t just made for forward and backward bends.

This pose combines a funky headstand with a deep spinal twist. Give your spine the love it deserves with a good twist.

I learned forearm stand before handstand - but plenty of people find that the shoulder mobility needed for forearm stand isn't available to them. They find handstand easier to unlock.

Backbends aren’t just about flexibility - they open the chest, strengthen the spine, and energise the body. They’re like a reset button for your posture and your mood.

Bend, breathe, and feel the difference!
