Nachdem ich heute über einen älteren Beitrag einer politischen Stiftung gestolpert bin, der die sog. "Cancel Culture" mit der Terrorherrschaft der Jakobiner vergleicht, sind mir spontan einige Ideen für Buchtitel eingefallen:

Klarnamenpflicht und Altersgrenzen sind das Gegenteil von evidenzbasierter Politik. Wofür genau soll das gelten? Fünf Big-Tech-Apps? Alle sozialen Medien? Smartphones? Internet-Zugang? Völlig unklar. Statt Fakten geht es um Gefühle. "Die Politik muss was tun, für die Kinder/Demokratie."

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

So American law enforcement agents kill peaceful mothers and caretakers on the streets. This is insane and needs the awareness and the critical voice of European leaders despite all the geopolitical turmoil.

This puts far-right parties in a dilema: on the one hand, Trump is their most important ally; on the other hand, his policies make it clearer than almost anything else how self-destructive the very agenda promoted by Europe’s far-right parties for years actually is. ...

and may now realize that a policy of small states against an more and more imperialistic MAGA-USA is not a realistic strategy. At least not if you do not want to be reduced to a lackey of the US. ...

That is the only reason why these parties are beginning to criticize Trump, albeit slowly and half-heartedly. They do not want to lose parts of their voter base, some of whom were attracted to these parties because of their anti-EU positions ...
