Most of the terrible things people do to each other arise out of unhealed trauma. But how can we heal well from trauma, βending suffering within,β as Thich Nhat Hanh recommends, instead of spreading it to others?

Injustice causes undeserved sufferingβthis is what makes injustice so bad. And this is why blaming the victim is so problematic. Those who suffer because of injustice, or because of trying to correct injustice, are not blameworthy at all.

Unfortunately, there are people who live by the belief that βmight makes right.β They expect to get their way through force and intimidation. They are sure that that will always work. But it doesnβt always work.
