Do you have old bird checklists of notes from before 2014?
We are currently undertaking a project to digitize historical bird data. These data will not only help us improve the accuracy of bird population assessments but will also support broader conservation initiatives.
If you have old bird data, reach out to us on contact@stateofindiasbirds.in.

HEATMAP gives you an idea of the proportion of checklists within grids in your chosen geography.
It shows the boundary of the area covered by square grids of 5 x 5 km and each grid has a colour density proportional to the number of checklists in that grid.

For #ToyotaThursday, here's the #27 Team Sard Toyota Supra GT-LM, driven by Mauro Martini, Jeff Krosnoff and Marco Apicella at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995. The #27 ran as high as 7th during the race & finally finished 14th overall.

A green background, with some green leaves, and two birds prched on them. The birds are scaly breasted munias - reddish brown coloured upper parts, black scaly pattern on the white under parts, triangular black beak.
Scaly-breasted Munias (เฎชเฏเฎณเฏเฎณเฎฟเฎเฏ เฎเฎฟเฎฒเฏเฎฒเฏเฎเฎณเฏ).
Among the Munias, this species seems to have adopted well to urban habitation - I commonly see them nest in balconies and behind external units of split ACs.

A stocky big bird - the Eurasian Curlew, with greenish legs, mottled brown neck and body, and a downward curved beak walking on a mossy, marshy land at the edge of the water.
Eurasian Whimbrel (เฎเฏเฎเฏเฎเฎพเฎฉเฏ), from Pazhaverkadu, earlier this year.
They breed in Northen parts of Asia and Europe, and visit the coastal Africa, Asia and Australia in winters.

A small bird with yellow head and upperparts and white coloured belly, and a white coloured ring around the eye - an Indian White-eye. The almost roundish bird is perched on a clear branch without leaves, but two round green fruits of the Paper-mulberry tree.
Indian White-eye (เฎตเฏเฎณเฏเฎณเฏเฎเฏเฎเฎฃเฏเฎฃเฎฟ).
These tiny birds are always a pleasure to watch and photograph.

I started by saying smoking is injurious to health.
Then showed this pivotal "wearable tech" from which you can draw a straight line to Fitbit & Garmin.
You see, Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
Tadao Kashiyo had an idea.
