There's still time. There's still grace.

Growing up doesn’t mean giving up.
We all deserved better.
And we still do.

We never stop being those children.
We still carry our wonder, our wounds, our wanting.
We’re still worthy of care. Of compassion. Of being believed in.

I’m still that child of the world.
I never stopped being her.
But society says I ran out of chances. Out of patience. Out of grace.

The truth is: no one ever gave us a real chance to grow into that vision.
We were expected to become everything—immediately.
No learning curve. No room to fall apart.

But then we aged out.
And suddenly, we were expected to become that hope—fully formed, overnight.
Adults who knew all the rules. Who never needed help. Who never stumbled.

All of us were children once. And at one point, society cared deeply about us.
“We must protect our children.”
“They’re the hope for the future.”
We’ve all heard it. Maybe we even believed it.
