I was inspired by Régis Loisel's work on the Mickey Mouse comic "Zombie Coffee" and decided to go for a somewhat similar look, my style was already vaguely rubberhose so this worked nicely

I wish more people would discuss how no one making these movies really view these characters as characters and instead see them as brands, if that makes sense, that's why Mickey got so many horror movies and why there probably won't be any involving Pluto considering he's not the main character

the issue with the "Nintendo's systems don't have style anymore" argument is that the fans of that claim just want them to use a 20 year old aesthetic instead of anything else

I'm getting tired of the hype for the Wii U aesthetic

especially since I saw someone unironically say Iwata's death is why the Switch "had no sauce" like oh my god the aesthetic was already out the door by the time the Wii U released

I think the fact Nintendo barely tries to be "relatable" on their brand accounts nowadays shows that they weren't trying to be genuine or sincere in the Wii U era, they were very clearly desperate for money cuz their system was hot ass

intentional or not, they kinda give off the vibe of what FNAF could've looked like if it intentionally had the 90s 3D style and I like that

this is what Nintendo were working on before SM64 /j

people like to say things like "oh Nintendo are making SURE Illumination don't do their usual thing" but are they? 😭 Nobody has ever considered Nintendo are resting on their laurels cuz they know the fans will eat up anything they make
