And for Vik it's the realization of literal loneliness in all senses. That he has absolutely no one to share even happiness in his existence.
The moment of realization he's only a dot in his own life.

That's why I feel he's so much alive to me like a character. Feeling is much simpler but deeper

While he replayed everything that had happened over and over again in his head and realised his guilt, what he had destroyed, fear, loss.
And physical loneliness, to face all this feelings by himself.
I mean the moment of ego death
But not exclusively :)
