I get it. My parents are not full on MAGA, but my brother is. He's also transphobic as hell, and I have a trans son. When my parents pass, I'll be cutting any contact with him.

I don't think it's about forgetting but about a certain portion of the nation realizing that this could have been the end of democracy. I think we are near the end, but it's a slower descent into kaos.
