You're fine. Australia is just acknowledging that there's alternate ways of describing the
way of the land we live in, guided by what Aboriginal people have experienced for centuries. Our climate really does have different flows to a classic 4 season view and it's silly we try to insist otherwise

but that's what it feels like here. acknowledging the first nations' seasonal calendar makes way more sense than insisting it's spring only to walk outside to the heights of summer temperatures or expecting a full winter when it's only actually cold for about a month
