@meidastouch.com I unfollowed the @meidastouch.com podcast today. The title of their episode was "MAGA Mike Caught on Hot Mic Trashing Trump for Shutdown." In the episode, that's not what happened at all. He didn't oppose Dean, but he didn't "trash" Trump either. We need honest journalism rn.

Hey USA, Canadian here. Um... that kind of rhetoric is not disqualifying for a TV channel? Maybe... consider it? Ya'll talk about your "polarization" problems and you let a TV host suggest killing citizens?

As a Canadian looking on, I'd say the greatest trick the Trump administration pulled on Americans was to convince them that "woke" speech impinged on their freedoms, but soldiers with guns in their cities liberated them.

The number of leopard-eating-face stories in the news right now is staggering. “He’s gone to far!” Sigh.

I've been watching the live coverage on YouTube tonight, moving back and forth between CBC, Al-Jazeera, ABC, NBC, PBS. Only non-American networks mention the illegality of the strikes on Iran. Why are American networks choosing to ignore this completely?

I love that on the morning of a Liberal victory, those of us who voted that way are not tapdancing to a tune of now “owning the Cons” in the months to come. The way to convince and be convincing for CPC voters is to solve their problems and get them the services they need as much as everyone else.

Many of the very worst people I've ever known - some of my closest family among them - were the people who "spent the most time in prayer" when I was growing up in a church setting. I'm convinced that much of what is called "prayer" is self-affirming confirmation bias.

Please don’t be fooled into thinking there’s no reason. There is definitely a method to this madness. I fear not enough of the experts are able to put their finger on it - yet.

Every day I wake up and check the news almost hourly hoping that Americans have somehow figured out a way to put a stop to what is being done to them by their government.

How the United States gives this much power to their President without any legislative checks and balances will always baffle me. One person can single-handedly destroy the economy and put millions of families into ruin with the stroke of a pen, a declaration of “emergency”, and no one to stop them.
