For context, this fic is going to be a big Sam x Leigh fic I’ve been planning/conceptualizing for about a month now. This scene is taking place after Sam gets his arm munched for Rat Baby, in which Leigh decides to give Sam some advice in the only way she knows how. That’s empathy, hoohaa!

Leigh, shadowed so that her eyes and madcap grin contrast against it: Heh heh heh... I think about what it would be like for you to die too... I think about it a lot... A long panel cuts through the red background, like torn wallpaper, with a despairing Sam beneath it, looking downwards, slime and sinew in the background. The fading red in the background resumes to a final 'panel' of Spine looking up at him, craning her head back as if just noticing his arrival.

The red continues, fading to black. Sam stands there, holding his missing arm stump, as he looks down at Spine; she is very large, though her posture keeps her head near the ground. Faint outlines of flesh piles form a vague background, as a trail of blood meanders downward, separating the two. The in-game text also meanders, in a Z shape, down the entire page, starting from the red upper left corner, and ending in the dark lower right. She's not so bad. She's weird, creepy, and lonely, She's kinda like you.
