Democracy serves those who serve it. The greatest, most complicated and important process humans have devised requires active participation, constant oversight, and continuous improvement. We own the specs. We are the control plan.
And yet we consider ourselves intelligent.

Welp. The internet had a nice run.
Some outlets have lost over 90% of their traffic since the "AI" summaries rolled out.
"...the four worst-hit publications [now] get less monthly web traffic combined than the r/ChatGPT subreddit gets on its own."

This is troubling: Meta developed an AI that would be able to impersonate people based on images, posting style, and video footage.
Sounds nuts, but this could be used to impersonate people killed and nobody would be the wiser, right?

The fabric of our supposed resilience as a democratic republic is the distribution of power. We tend to focus on the three federal pillars, but the states have a role in constraining Fed power.
#GOP has leveraged that forever. Now that they hold the D, they must counter it every possible way.

Been sayin' for a while we're poisoning our hearts and minds with "entertainment" made from depravity.
For any who think TV and video games don't have that effect, you may ask yourself why there are more ads per hour every day...
Marketing works, it's working, and we're losing all we had to this.
Hands down!

Four years ago, the US expected Ukraine to fall within days and even withheld military aid because they thought itβd be wasted. Today, the US β the most powerful nation on earth β is asking Ukraine for military aid.
Never underestimate Ukraine. Arm them to win.
Given how @kare11.bsky.social continues showing opinion polls as benchmarks of right and wrong, it seems that we should discard or neglect the R and D groups, and consider only the I group as the "least biased", if not entirely objective, measure of overall community opinion.

Grabbing companies by the balance sheet will trigger a greater backlash than gleefully admitting grabbing women by their pu$$y did.
