Honestly loved the balance of this month between stressful spooky and comfy cozy!

Oo! Good question, and something I didn’t mention! It is humorous (Title is a clever pun..) I would say it’s balanced. The cover makes it seem like a pure comedy perhaps, and I felt like it was closer to being lower stakes AND had a lot to say about identity, love after loss, etc

This was so much more than a Cinderella retelling! Darker than I expected, and the love triangle actually had me switching sides repeatedly! Only downside… it was a bit of a slog in the middle… 💙📚

DANG. This was a great read. My first foray into his writing, and I loved it! Plot was intriguing and thrilling, with a dash of mystery and sci-fi that felt realistic and terrifying at the same time. Possibly the best read of the year!

Omg for sure Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield!! I LOVED it, and my hubby actually questioned if it counted as horror. Absolute creeping unease, unanswered questions, and love. It was 5⭐️!

Swung by the kids section and walked out with shoes half the price and just as comfy! WHOOO!!
