Apparent Barix Hacks Highlight Gaps in Cybersecurity - Radio World Radio World has received several reports of apparent hacks on broadcast stations using Barix equipment.

Several U.S. radio stations have recently reported their Barix equipment being hacked.

The compromised boxes streamed explicit content that appeared to promote an X-rated website, along with a fake EAS message.

North Carolina Translator Back On Air After Interference Dispute - Radio World An FM translator in the North Carolina Triangle region has returned to the air, but a co-channel operator in Virginia argues that violates FCC rules.

The 98.3 FM translator for WQDR(AM), known as "the Triangle's Rock FM" in North Carolina, returned to the air with a directional antenna to resolve interference with WLUS, 50 miles north. 🎸

WLUS owner Lakes Media says the translator shouldn't be back on air.
