Every time somebody calls Onion Knight "Luneth", a Chocobo dies.
(Unless it's an Ivalician Chocobo, in which case it is constantly beaten by a roving band of grinding players)

Why yes, I never did get over Opera Omnia.
(Though if it ends up being ARPG nonsense, I will be happy if the most engagement I need to give to the game is cursory glances).

A new Dissidia (mobile) game has been announced.
I can't tell you who exactly will be in it.
But I can confidently tell you who won't be.

I believe I posted about it in passing, but the interview goes into some pretty interesting info on the remake, such as the balancing, why the unused text is unused and the scrapped multiplayer versus mode that few sources mention.

It's been a bit, so here's a more minor bit of Final Fantasy III remake trivia.
Each of the four protagonists have a sigil based on a piece of their outfit. These sigils appear on certain jobs such as the Knight or Magus jobs.

The Final Fantasy III 3D remake is 19 years old.
It was released in Japan on April 24th 2006.

Like, Ingus is the big brother type, but he can barely handle Luneth and Arc (as seen in the unused text) and Onion Knight is probably the type to resent his brand of concern even more than Arc did.
And Arc eventually got pissed enough to leave the party to prove a point.

I want to see Ingus and Onion Knight interact in some fashion, in large part because I can't imagine a dynamic between them not starting off as a complete shitshow, even with the potential for it to get better as time went on.

Refia, of course, chews them out over this as she feels Desch was playing with Salina's heart, but they defend Desch might've had his reasons before they take their leave.
The scene is capped off by Luneth reminding Ingus that he made the girls at Castle Sasune cry. Ingus isn't amused.

This is somewhat of a follow-up from an earlier scene in Canaan.
As they talk with Salina, Desch's gf who's crying over him, Luneth and Arc get jealous and wish that they had girls crying over them.

By the time they return to Unei, even Ingus believes that they're waking a princess.
Needless to say, Luneth and Arc are mortified at the truth.
Unei takes in stride and jokes that when she was younger, she was better looking than the party is now.

Finding the lute, Luneth reflects on his lack of strength and what happened with Aria and promising that he won't allow anything to happen to the princess. Arc states that HE'll be the one to protect her. Refia more or less gives up at this point. Ingus is confused on who they're waking. #FFIII

Luneth gets onboard with the idea, while Refia points out that mage/Unei is probably a wrinkly old woman like a witch. Arc brushes her off, feeling that she's jealous, which Refia takes offense to.

The actual plotline starts partway through the dungeon where Arc begins to wonder what kind of princess they're trying to awaken. Ingus points out that they're trying to wake a mage, but Arc is convinced that she is a princess, seeing as how she's trapped in a dream world.

The initial scene is rather standard. It turns out, Ingus is the only one of the four who knows how to play a lute due to his gentlemanly upbringing, though Arc at the very least, has heard travelers play them.

Been a while since I talked about scrapped FF3R plot lines.
This one's a simple one. It's the text for the Temple of Time (i.e. that place you go to to get Noah's Lute to wake Unei).

As for the context, it's Dark Matter with a human guise.
It's technically part of the same project that my most recent commissions have been part of, but I will say, that the prototype of this project (that I started before *coughcough*) heavily influenced this idea.

Dark Matter's concept artwork as seen in Kirby's 20th Anniversary Celebration Book (via Kirbywiki). In the center middle are hair refs including what appears to be a humanized version of Dark Matter. In the bottom left is a prototype design for Dark Matter including a mask in place of a visor.

To give a bit more detail I requested the design with two major sources: One is a hair ref/canon design from one of the Kirby artbooks and the second from a beta design also from said artbook.
