I can’t tell you how many times I saw management fix a recurring problem not because the agents brought it to their attention, but because they had to deal with two entire escalations personally and god forbid they do more than count how many seconds it takes for employees to pee.

ask them to transfer you to a supervisor. Tell them that you need the call escalated. Multiple people going to a supervisor for the same complaint might draw more attention because middle management in call centers haaaaate having to deal with escalations or transfers.

Also, for every agent who does note your grievance, there is bound to be at least one who feigns sympathy, leaves inadequate internal notes, and doesn’t bring it to management because they aren’t obligated to and they just need to get off the call. If you feel like you are being rushed,

We feel so awful for the Queer writers who have been shadowbanned. Queer romance and erotica has been booming there as far as we’ve noticed (which made us hopeful to find a way out of the hold Amazon has on self-publishing) and it looks like a lot of Queer creators are being hurt by this.

We were literally talking TODAY about easing some of our writing onto itchio and apparently the site has just gone through a wave of shadowbanning writers and creators with nsfw books/games.

I skimmed through our old notes re: the Starian Cycle and kept running across references to “Patrick.” Who was Patrick? Why did we talk so much about him? Why do I have no memory of this character?

Current WIP is progressing! We have reached a turning point in the plot, which means I now have no excuse not to unpack all these boxes…

Autobiographical writing. It was an assignment in college and I hated every second of it, because my memory wasn’t reliable and I was too hung-up on everything being accurate to get anywhere.

Highlights of the move from hell:
-trapped on a balcony for several hours
-cleaning until 5am
-don’t listen to a horror podcast while deep-cleaning a bathroom, please
-throwing things at random into garbage bags because no thanks
-“hm, it feels like I’m about to faint” x 10
-laundry room floods

Focusing on giving aid/time/effort into one thing doesn’t mean that you care less about others, but it does mean you’ll have more energy and resources to do the work.

When I was a teen, I remember Tammy saying that she realized that she needed to write more Queer characters when fans started praising her for a single line Kel said about gay people. She didn’t like being praised for scraps and subtext and wanted to do better.

Tried to quarantine the cats so they could get used to the apartment little by little like all the pet experts suggest, and woke up to find a cat standing on my head. The bonded pair found their braincell and got the door open. Uh oh.
