Yep! The fact that the grant doesn’t punish you for changing majors or focuses is such a big deal.

IIRC you do have a certain span of time to use it (many years), but it can still transfer majors and to different schools as long as the school is accredited. At least it was like that 10 years ago.

Don’t underestimate trades.

Things like plumbing pay very well + are in high demand.

In some cases, they can be your ticket OUT if you want to leave the USA.

^ For example Canada just opened expedited immigration pathways for carpenters, plumbers, and machinists on top of other professions.

If you live in the U.S. and are low income, look up the Pell Grant.

You can have tuition fully or partially covered for not only uni (up to a Bachelors), but community college and trade school. Grants do not need to be paid back

You’ll need to fill out the FAFSA to see how much you can get.
