It's wheat gluten, basically dough that is washed over and over to remove the starch. Becomes a stringy, meaty glob which takes on flavour well. I'm not selling it well but it's yummy!

Seitan is good when you want a vegan chicken alternative! Also butter beans are my favourite for bulking up a stew/curry.

Had a really positive observed lesson in numeracy today! It was amazing to have the opportunity to showcase the fantastic learning P4 have been doing, as well as the collaboration and support of my wonderful mentor. So much to tell everyone on #UOEPGDEp when we're back at Moray House! ✨️📚❤️

Pluraliteracies week at #UOEPGDEp has been inspiring, thought-provoking, and joyful. The little space-obsessed child in me especially loved learning how to sign the solar system in BSL so much that I've been sharing it with anyone who'll watch. 🌙💫🌠🌍🪐

Spending our weekend finding some creative ways around the Edinburgh rent crisis...

Had a LOT of fun learning how to teach mechanisms for #UoEPGDEp today - hopefully our future students will have as much fun as we did!

My towel elephant (prep for this week of #UoEPGDEp, not just a new hobby) turned out looking more like a strange dog, but I love him anyway!

Perfect end to our sustainability week really, and highlights how effective small community action can be and how easily children will see the benefits of their work and kindness on a local level. I will be dropping off some things at the Swap Shop myself next week as thanks! 🌱🙏🏻

Huge thanks to the person who donated these lovely shoes to the Swap Shop and saved me from having to wear my broken boots all the way back to Liveroool. One of my favorite things about the #MHPGDEp group is how unbelievably kind they are, and how well everyone looks out for each other! ❤️✨
