One way to teach visual literacy is to have students read graphic novels, which are a much-maligned genre of books that actually include examples of every genre known in "regular" books, from nonfiction to poetry to fiction

Good point about the exhaustion-although I always felt invigorated at conferences (before the exhaustion set in) lol
